In June 2021, the San Fernando City Council adopted a Resolution declaring June as “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month (LGBTQ+) in the City of San Fernando and call[ed] upon all residents to eliminate prejudice everywhere it exists, and to celebrate the great diversity of our city.”
To commemorate this historic Resolution, the City will be hosting a Progressive Pride Flag Raising Ceremony on the steps of San Fernando City Hall.
Raising the Progressive Pride Flag at City Hall is meant to increase awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer individuals. The public is invited to attend the ceremony and show their support.
