Trash Can Courtesy

The City of San Fernando appreciates the efforts that our residents take in order to keep our community looking its best. Here are a few reminders about trash and recycling collection:

  1. Carts and other items cannot be used to reserve parking spaces on the public street.
  2. Leaving carts on the street after the trash has been collected, is considered a Public Nuisance Condition and can result in a citation.
  3. Place carts out by sunset the day before your regular collection day.
  4. Remove carts by 10:00 PM on your regular collection day.
  5. Trash containers left out past the deadline can also impede the street sweeper's ability to clean the streets. The storage and visibility of carts is identified in the City of San Fernando Municipal Code, Section 70-103.
