Teen Programs
After-School Teen Program
Calling all teens ages 11-17! Whether you're into sports, arts, or just hanging out, there's something for everyone at the San Fernando Recreation Park After-School Program. Our friendly staff is here to help with homework, host a teen-only open gym time, and lead fun activities and games. Come unwind, make new friends, and enjoy a safe and welcoming place to be after school!


Teens For A Better Community (TBC)
Teens for a Better Communityis a youth leadership program hosted at Las Palmas Park in the City of San Fernando. High school students take part in leadership development, character-building community service projects, city-wide events, summer programs, and recreational activities that encourage personal growth and success in school, work, and life. All program participation hours are tracked and count toward community service credit. At the end of the program year, students receive a certificate of completion in recognition of their service and commitment.

Counselor In Training
The Counselor-in-Training program is a hands-on experience that educates and trains youth to become future counselors for our Summer Day Camp Program. High school students between 14-18 years of age will work alongside City staff with daily camp activities such as arts and crafts, science, sports, and cooperative games. Tutčint Youth Empowerment
In partnership with the City of San Fernando, the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians, and Pukúu Cultural Community Services offer Tutčint, a youth empowerment program based out of Las Palmas Park in the City of San Fernando. We work with teens ages 13-17 years of age, from a variety of local middle and high schools. Online referrals can be completed on our website at: www.pukuu.org/tutcint/.
